The Squirrel ‘Squirreled Away’ Original Artwork

This is our native Red Squirrel. I’ve only seen two of these shy but lovely creatures in my lifetime as they are increasingly rare in the British Isles. Loss of habitat and devastation from a disease carried by the non indigenous Grey Squirrel have decimated their numbers. I love this image of the little fellas scavenging for food on this dead beech tree.
